Just What We Needed
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I purchased this at the beginning of the 2022 winter for my then 7-month old daughter. Following the advice of other reviews I ordered to size as I saw this runs big and those were all head on. My daughter takes after me in size and had a lot of extra room to move around in the bunting. However I took that as a plus as it made it very easy to get her in and out and also we were able to make sure she was well insulated. Although we had a very dry winter here in New Jersey I was confidently able to take her outside in some gnarly weather and safe that she was well covered up. In fact on multiple occasions she was a little too warm and we had to drop a layer. With the larger fitting we are hoping she may get a month or two about the next winter.

Still scratching my head on sizing
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
My son is a tank. Okay...he's a bowling ball but my point is that he is large. He is only 9 months old but he wears 18-month clothing on a day-to-day basis. We had a trip scheduled 3 months from now, so I bought him size 18/24 months, assuming it would work great. Unfortunately, when I put it on him I immediately lost him for about 4 hours. When I finally found my son again, I ordered a second pair sized 12-18 months thinking that would be perfect. When I put it on him, I lost him again, but this time for only 2 hours. I've been secretly dosing my wife with human growth hormone in the hopes that her breast milk will give him a growth spurt prior to our trip because while Backcountry makes it easy, I don't want to deal with another exchange.
