Great for shorter hikes, very waterproof
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
These boots were great for a few hikes, and then unfortunately, started to cause massive pain. I ended up with two bone bruises across both heels, and a very painful front toe where the tip of the boot was bending every time I would climb up and down. I have tricky feet to fit- wide toe area due to bunions and high arches(dancers feet) but I was advised these would be great for my unique feet. They worked well for casual use but not for extreme activity, which is when I started to experience issues. I sized up a full size to avoid toe bruising- just as you would in running shoes, and my toes did not bang the front. Unfortunately the bend in the leather did cause toe bruising. I ended up having to purchase another set of boots while I was out of the country on a multi-day 100 mile hike because the pain was so great. Pros: extremely waterproof, lightweight, and sturdy design. Cons: Construction caused odd fold in the toe area, which resulted in bruising. Stiff heel area caused bone bruising after several days.

Do it!!

I really like these boots! They were true to size for me (I got Elk/River blue size 8). I went straight into 8-10 mile days with these and never once did I get a hot spot or a blister, it was amazing! They are lightweight for being a boot, water resistant, and super cute!

I want to love you!!

I bought these as a replacement for my LL bean hiking boots of 10+ years. These are really beautiful boots but the toe box is absurdly long and it creases between the (reinforced?) toe and the laces when you walk and the upper presses painfully down on your toes. Ouch. That will not do in the woods; unfortunately returning

My hiking feet!

Love these boots! I live in Tennessee we have four seasons, and lots of rain always. I hike/trail run a few times a week, and these are as comfortable as a sneaker, yet as stable and protective as an all terrain boot. They great for all the seasons in our climate- not too hot in the summertime, and reliable in a downpour, slush, icy roads etc. Had to walk through ankle deep puddles on a trail recently and stayed completely dry. Another plus is they are not at all difficult to break in but seem moderately long lasting. With regular use this entire year, they are starting to just now show light wear that would probably be remedied with a nice cleaning. As for fit, I have wide duck feet so I sized up a 1/2 size from a 7 1/2 to an 8, and have no fit issues, no squeezing, chaffing, digging etc. They truly are true to size, I could have gotten away with the 7.5, but the 8 is not too loose at all, and I wear two sock layers in the winter anyway. So you have a bit of flexibility in size choice! 10/10 would recommend

Stylish but Toe Box issue

Loved the look and feel, but when walking the front tow box bends under the laces in such a way that it presses on the toes, can see these causing issues. Sadly returning them.

Good fit, good deal
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I purchased this pair bc my old pair of Columbia hiking shoes are on their way out (I?ve had them for several years). I like the fit of these and really like the look of them compared to some other brands. I feel like everytime I get waterproof shoes from them, they are truly waterproof. Columbia shoes are always true to size for me as well. Because there wasn?t a size 8 available, I went with a 8.5. They fit great and now I have a bit of extra room for thicker socks.
