Competizione Limited Edition Short
With the Competizione Shorts, pro-level Castelli quality need not come at a pro-level price tag. The Competizione features much of the same technology as their higher-end offerings, like a KISS Air2 insert and Giro4 leg grippers, making it comfortable for long and short rides alike. The main panels use Castelli’s Vortex fabric for optimal breathability and comfort, while inside of the legs are a tighter Lycra for better compression, stretch, and rebound, where there’s more movement when pedaling. The KISS Air2 insert’s perforated padding and seamless upper keeps cool air moving through the short to ensure your comfort on the bike.

Awesome Shorts
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
Very comfortable, fits great, no bunching or chaffing. KISSAir2 and Giro4 leg grippers worked great…2 hour ride and no issues whatsoever. Definitely size up. I’m 5’8” with athletic glutes. Normally wear size XL in U.S. sizing, ordered XXL in these and was a perfect fit around the waist and legs. Will be ordering another pair or two.

Good quality shorts
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I read all the reviews that they fit small, so I ordered a large though I am technically a medium with waist 34”. They were still very snug (fit like a glove) but once on the bike worked well. Have only worn them on 1 ride so far but I’d say they are very comfortable and look great.

A soulful shade of blue
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I bought these partly because of that song. The description said the chamois was good for rides of any length. That's proving to be true: my workouts are 8-22 miles long and these shorts aare comfortable start to finish. I wore them for my first gravel race too. Next weekend I'll wear them on the long ride at the Tour de Vineyard in Palisade,CO.I like the lack of bib straps. They're very well made. They work well with leg sleeves, wether to block the sun or are warmth on cold mornings. The size chart needs no adjustments either. Mine are Twilight blue. I'm 6'4" and weigh 90 Kg: XXL fit great

Cycling shorts
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
I love Castelli cycling jerseys, great fabric, color and styles, but I learned they run small. I wear larges. Ordered large shorts and could barely squeeze into them. I I would size up two sizes if you normally wear a medium. Nice style with multi-colored panels.

Toooooo small
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
Nice looking shorts and the material felt nice to the touch. But these shorts were too tight. I wear a medium in all other cycling shorts except Castelli and I have to get a large. But the large was still too tight.

Stitching Failed
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Stitching failed after a dozen rides or more. Been MTB for over 25 years and I typically wear Pearl Izumi or SQlab liners and never had stitching fail or get a hole so soon; especially considering the price of the Castelli shorts. The shorts fit good and padding is comfortable. I will not likely purchase this product again.

Good shorts
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
Nice shorts but definately get a size up -- they run quite small. They are super small when you take them out of the package, and while it gets better after you've worn it once or twice, there is no way i'd fit into what i usually get. I'm a Med but get a Large with this. But good shorts and good cushion if you size correctly

They seemed small at first look, but fit very well. Easily my most comfortable pair of biking shorts.

When you put them on & wife says wow!
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
Been looking for the perfect pair of cycle pants for sessions on the direct drive trainer - I spend hours riding and over 500 km a month. I've tried a few different pairs but after completing 'The Competitive Cyclist for Kyle' challenge on Strava, I decided to have a look at the selection of gear compiled by the 'gear heads' like the late Kyle. I was NOT disappointed! These Castelli Shorts are like a second skin. I'm 5'10" and 195lbs and chose large - when I first tried the shorts on they were a snug aero fit but after a couple of rides they were like a second skin. These shorts are so functional but at the same time, the function is based on great design along with understated but very stylish motif. As I walked down the hallway to the office where the trainer was set up, my wife just said "Wow!" She immediately asked me if my new cycling gear was Italian which I replied in the affirmative - she was very impressed and provided a number of compliments about how good my new gear looked. She noted how much more stylish and flattering my new gear was compared to my old gear - noting the understated nature of the branding and stylish cut of the shorts and the Castelli sleeveless base layer I'd also purchased for the warm up phase. Well done to Competitive Cyclist, thanks to the gear heads (and to the late Kyle) for curating cycling kit that works so well and looks good enough that my wife notices!
