The Ekar group brings the storied Campagnolo brand back to
off-road riding with its first gravel-specific group. Named for the Cima Ekar,
the 1x13 group offers the same or better range than previous 2x systems,
in a lightweight and durable package to chase ribbons of farm road or
mountain passes. The Ekar 13 Cassette is the showstopper of this groupset: its sizeable range and beautiful machining will draw attention at the ride start, before you take off down the dirt road and leave others in the dust.
Campagnolo offers the Ekar 13 Cassette in three ranges, to suit every rider from endurance pursuits to gravel racing to more adventuresome outings. The 13-speed cassette offers smaller jumps between the lower cogs, so your cadence can stay smooth, and wider spacing at the higher end. Regardless of the rage, each cassette is precision-machined in two pieces, blending the lightweight nature of alloy in the spider for the larger cogs and the strength of steel.

I love Ekar

Great ratios and functionality from this product. It's lasted a long time as well (9-36). I'd love a 10-36 or 10-38 or 10-40 but I'll take what I can get.

I've gone through two Ekar cassettes and both exhibited loosening and loud creaking that could not be resolved. I think Campagnolo was too ambitious trying to make a 13-sprocket cassette with such a large gearing range. After many servicings, the Ekar shifting has never performed well for me. My affordable mechanical Shimano GRX has performed better though much more adverse conditions.
