Find This One!
Have owned this for 2 years and have friends that have other BD headlamp versions. I like that it's AAA instead of rechargeable, means the headlamp will last 'forever' and I can buy rechargeable batteries to just swap out. The settings are great. High, low and red I use. I don't use the green or blue hardly ever. 400 lumens is bright enough for camp area granted you'll blind people with it. Red low is better for around others. The battery door is the best selling point to me. It's an actual hinged latch. My friends that had the Cosmo 350 where it's just a bit of plastic that's supposed to bend and snap into place had them break within a week. One con to me is the tap/touch on the side. Sometimes it gets bumped and changes brightness, sometimes I have to tap it 30 times before it changes modes.

Bright AF
These are the best lights. They last forever and are pretty water resistant

Great light!
Super bright light and easy to use. The main white light projects far and bright when used in the woods. The multiple colored lights are an extra benefit!

Best headlamp
This is by far the best headlamp I ever used. I use it for hunting, fishing, and general use. It’s dimmable rechargeable, waterproof, and very functional. Cannot recommend enough.

Great Headlamp -- Wish the Red Light Was Brighter
Black Diamond makes great headlamps. I think this is my fourth or fifth and they have all been great. Very bright, multiple settings, and comfortable to wear. If I have one criticism, it is the red/blue/green light isn't as bright as I would have liked. If you are using it for reading or small tasks, it works really well. Hunting and hiking with it on red wasn't as easy. I found myself having to slow down and even stopping on occasion to assess my route. Otherwise, great headlamp.

Good little head lamp, wish I bought the rechargeable
I love this headlamp and it's feature set. I've used it for everything, hunting, camping, working on cars. It can do it all, I do wish I had bought the rechargeable model because I change batteries on this frequently. The controls are easy to remember and do without looking.

This headlight has a decent brightness, but I’ve found it a little frustrating at times to cycle through the different settings. It also seems to automatically dim if you have it on for a longer period of time? I’ve had to turn it off and back on to achieve the same brightness. I’m assuming this is an energy saving function, but it is frustrating when you need to maintain that level of brightness. Otherwise this light is comfortable to wear and packs up well. I’ve used it around the house and for camping and backpacking.

Eats batteries for dinner and wants more for dessert
It takes 4 aaa batteries which makes it relatively heavy. Drains those batteries quickly… make sure to use the lock or you will find yourself in low power mode quickly. Feature functions are good, lots of options, button lock to avoid it turning on in your pack, etc. and bright. All that said, I am constantly nervous I am going to run out of batteries now which causes me to limit my use.
