Use them at your own peril
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I’ve been using two of these carabiners for 6+ Months without issue, but the screw gate got jammed on one of my rappels during my climb on west ridge forbidden peak. Thankfully spit and jamming on the gate with another carabiner was able to unlock it. Just tonight on a clean and lower, not only did my first carabiner on my PA jam, the second one to use as my second PA ALSO JAMMED (since I had to cut the first PA). This resulted in my friend climbing to the top and thankfully we were able to abandon the carabiners while cutting my double runners. It seems the carabiners lock if you screw too tightly, but that’s something I’ve never encountered in any of my other carabiners. Anyways buy these at your own risk.

Solid!
At a great price, this carabiner is solid! I think there are better options for belay, but I wouldn’t hesitate to use one if I was missing my preferred biner. I use these mainly for top rope anchors. Two of them provide a great surface for the rope to slide through!

great belay carabiner
perfect for hardwearing use at the gym or outdoors and easy on ropes. It's big and easy to use when weight isn't the priority.

My go to carabiner
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I've got three of these and use them every time I climb, both for belaying and building anchors. After 20-something uses they have barely any wear. Solid piece of gear and my personal favorite to use. I will be buying more.

Bomber
It is really lite for what it is and the action is nice. It's oversized pear shape is perfect for using as a focal point of an anchor or for belaying/rappelling.

nice large carabiner at a reasonable price
I have several of these and they're great for using as the MP of an anchor, and in more complex systems (Tyrollean traverse, etc.).

no change in 20 years
Im sure this biner is strong & solid but (ordered online sight unseen) its really fat (in diameter). its the exact same 'biner as I already had from 20 years ago. I needed one that fit through the rappel/hardware chains of most modern stations. this one does not, or when it does its a wedged fit. Im disappointed that BD has not seemed to keep up with a better selection of small framed light carabiners.

Great biner for everything
I like this for both belaying and anchors so I probably own like six or eight of these. I like the large size and trust BD so I think these are a biner everyone should have some of.
