Why We Like The Momentum Climbing Shoe

Known for its commitment to the climbing community, Black Diamond brings years of engineering expertise to its Momentum Climbing Shoe—flexibility, comfort, and durability for the crag and rigorous gym training sessions. We like that it was built with a slim, women's-specific shape, a lower volume fit, and a petite heel cup to keep the fit snug as you send. A breathable and supportive Engineered Knit Technology upper helps this shoe stands out from the crowd while providing some much-needed ventilation in stuffy gyms. The flexible construction comfortably moves with your feet on the wall and won't stretch out after you've put them through their paces.

I’m a new climber but these shoes have been great for my foray into indoor bouldering! Super comfortable, streamlined design and quick on/off.

Bought new, arrived looking used

Familiarity:
I returned this product before using it

There are stains and, what I'm hoping is the adhesive, has leaked through the seams. Not great.

I'm not an expert, but these are great!

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

If you are looking to buy an affordable climbing shoe that is reliable, look no further. I tried them out for the first time today at the climbing gym for about three hours and they were perfect. I do recommend going up a whole size up for perfect sizing. I wear a 7.5 street shoe, but I wear an 8.5 in these climbing shoes. They are still a bit snug with my toes slightly crimped, but this is the fit you are looking for. The synthetic uppers are also very sturdy and do not have a lot of give, I assume they will stretch slightly over time, but not too much. Many of the reviews said that they had a lot of slippage, but I did not experience any of this. The rubber was very grippy and felt stable on holds. Overall, I am very pleased with this shoe and will probably end up getting it again as I wear out my current ones!

Way too small!!!

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I would say size up!! Runs small. Ive had these for about a year and they still havent fully broken in or stretched. Not very grippy, I have slipped off a hold twice - both times leaving me with a sprained ankle!!!! I recommend getting a different pair!!
