Really poor quality - broke multiple times
I was gifted these less than a year ago as a replacement for my aging Alpine Carbons which I have beat the heck out of all over the world. I am not sure what BD was thinking with the Expedition 3s but the whole build quality is very poor and have broken multiple times in less than a year. I trained pretty heavily (1x a week) with the E3s and took them to Denali in May this year (2024). They held up fine to Denali conditions, but with normal use after that have completely fallen apart. I know Denali takes a lot out of gear but for “Expedition” poles to die after a single expedition seems pretty weak. Definitely would not recommend. Shame! Btw, the Alpine Carbons are still going strong.

Just what you need and nothing more.
Nothing fancy just a great splitboard pole. I really like the longer foam handles for choking up on the pole while side hilling or booting. They also collapse to a great size to strap to your backpack while riding.

Best poles for splitting!
These poles are lightweight, compact, and overall very durable. Definitely my favorite poles to use for splitting. Also double as hiking poles in the summer. 100% recommend!

I have owned Expedition 1, 2, & now 3 poles. I am really hard on my equipment. Hiking, Skiing, & SAR missions. They are the best.

Nice Ski Poles
Good poles. Haven't had issues with them collapsing on my yet - despite being a fairly large guy (~210 lbs) + pack weight. Make sure you put the powder baskets on well - I lost mine on my first ski run. Had to go back and find them.

Excellent Compact Poles
Been eyeing up collapsable poles for a while now and finally got them. They were excellent for what I needed - something I could throw on/in a pack for when I needed to go pole-less and easily extended when I needed them. Locking mechanism was nice and snug and the length markings on each section made it extremely easy to line up each time. Definitely recommend these poles!

Poles are good. I use
Poles are good. I use them for splitboarding. They don't fit in my Dawn Partol backpack but I can strap them easily to the the outside. The clips are a little tight at the start but you can loosen them with a screw driver. I like the long grips on these as well.

Great
Great extendable pole option! Love that I can collapse them and throw them in my bag when needed.

Good.
Solid poles. These have one long foam grip vs the two rubber grips on the traverse poles that are slightly cheaper.
