The best large shovel on the market.
As with any large shovel it moves a lot of snow quickly, but the small details add up. The curve in the handle that allows for a hoe mode makes for a great spot to hold the shovel on extended digging for snow walls or rescues. The blade makes straight and smooth snow pit walls easy (unlike some other company’s shovels). One warning, because it’s a large shovel, make sure it fits in your chosen pack. Smaller/lighter packs may come with smaller rescue gear pockets. For expedition and professional use, this shovel is a must in the team. We brought one to Denali last season and combined with a snow saw, it became the shovel that everyone was looking for to get camp chores from cook shelter construction to building wind walls done.

Efficient shovel
If you want a shovel that dogs efficiently. This is it. Whether you are a backcountry skier or a ski patroller, this shovel is gray quality. I like the comfort of the handle and how the handle extends. From finding someone in an avalanche to digging snow pits, would highly recommend.

Awesome bigger shovel
I upgraded from my smaller BCA collapsible shovel to this big guy primarily for my upcoming Denali trip. This one worked great digging out tent platforms and a cook tent, and I spent way less time stopped over compared to my smaller shovel. Obviously it's larger and heavier, but definitely worth the tradeoff for me!

It’s a shovel
Don’t love how the curved attachment point for the blade and the handle fit in my pack. However, when put together it’s an ergonomically good shape.

Great Avy Shovel
I got this because the Evac 9 has trouble fitting into my Scott avy bag. The Evac 7 is still big enough to move snow around quickly. D-handle and hoe mode are great features.

Evac 7
Haven't used it yet since I just got it and the season hasn't started yet. It fits perfectly into my new Dawn Patrol 25 pack which I will be using for full time ski patrol work. It seems sturdy and I especially like the ability to switch to how mode quickly. The blade volume is bigger than my other shovels=more and quicker snow removal. We're always having to dig out tower and snowmaking hydrant pads, plus we do buried transceiver drills regularly. It will definitely be put to work this upcoming 23-24 season.

Indestructible shovel?
Backed over it with the Skidoo Skandic with barely a scratch left on the shovel!

Well Made Shovel
The Evac 7 is a well made shovel. The welded attachment point for the handle is just one example of the quality design. The shovel is light for its size and packs well. I would recommend this shovel to experts as well as those heading out to the back country for the first time.

Rattles like cans tied behind a wedding car
I watched a video from a Canadian Mountain/Ski guide touting your Evac 7 as a strong, dependable shovel. Figured I give it a try. I can't Imagin that kind of slop, bodes well for aggressive use in avalanche debris.
