Why We Built The Backcountry Tahoe Sun Crew
"By ditching the hood, we've created something more versatile. This sun shirt still offers unbeatable coverage while looking a little more casual." —Gearhead® Expert Jessie
We designed the Tahoe Sun Crew as the hoodless sibling to our sun hoodie to provide a more lightweight sun-repelling option in our line. The UPF 50+ fabric provides the necessary sun protection for fishing or wandering desert landscapes. The airy fabric wicks moisture and dries quickly as we work up a sweat out on the trail, and it's stretchy for casting and paddling.

Love these shirts
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I wear them almost everyday for any outdoor activity. I've found they hold up well, while looking generally great! They're perfect to wear in the warmer months, but I personally don't mind wearing them in the winter as a base layer. Overall I love these shirts!

Great light shirt!!
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
Looking at this shirt the waffle fabric makes you think it’ll be thick- it’s so light I really dig this!! I love a good hoodie but wanted something more versatile. Begs the question, why no tshirt?!? I’ve become a huge fan of Backcountry clothes in the last few years- ski jacket, base layers, now this sun shirt. I could see how super slim guys would want something more tapered. Don’t hesitate to pay 1/3 the price of Patawhaaa???

Close to Awesome
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
A lot of Backcountry's recent clothes have a nice modern fit to them and I was hoping to see that again on this piece but it turned out to be boxy and traditional. I really like the fabric but I'm tall and thin and this shirt was too short and wide for me.

Sun Protection & Versatile use

Great option for those that don't want a hood on their sun protection shirt. This is my go to synthetic shirt for hiking, paddling, & even hanging out at camp.

The best UPF shirt now in a Crew
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
The Tahoe Sun Hoodie has been my go to UPF shirt from three seasons now but I am stoked to finally have it in a crew version as well. The lightweight fabric is quick drying and great for every activity on the water but also perfect for those Spring ski tours
