One of my 'go-to' shorts

Great fit, I prefer this length. I use these shorts in town and when in the mountains. Great styling and versatile with the durable material that has a little stretch to it. Like all the pockets and the built-in belt.

Quality Hiking and Camping Shorts

I was given this product by Backcountry, but this review is my personal opinion. I want to start off with sizing. I am 5’-11” and 160lbs and a medium runs true to size pretty much, but fairs on the slightly bigger side. The belt adjustment feature helps it fit more snug. We have been using the 7in Lightweight Ripstop Shorts on a variety of outdoor activities from paddleboarding, to hiking alpine lakes and summiting mountains to scrambling/climbing in rain, sleet, and hail. Yes we have had hail in August in Colorado. They are a little thicker than I expected when I used them for the first time, but I guess that's the tradeoff for pretty solid water resistance. The pants are made out of quality material and it just feels well made. It sorta feels like you are wearing a bathing suit but has fared well in all the climbing and scrambling maneuvers that I have put it through. So far it has held up all summer with no rips or tears and no distortion in the washer or dryer. It has one zipper pocket on the side which has been good for holding small things. I do wish the regular pockets on the side had some sort of zipper characteristic because I have had my phone fall out when climbing and I wish they came in a 5in length. All in all quality shorts for hiking, climbing, and camping.

Fit well and feel great! These ripstop shorts actually have a lot of good stretch to them, making them ideal for working out, biking, days at the lake or just general use. Probably going to have to go back and get a second color as well...

Best Camping Shorts

These are great stylish shorts that are light and durable. I love the pocket layout with the zippered rear pocket so you don't loose your keys on a hike. The integrated belt and quick release low profile clasp alows you to easily adjust the fit of these shorts on the fly.

Perfect outdoor adventure short

Fit is true to the sizing chart. They are slightly more fitted through the thigh than similar shorts, which I really like since I have chicken legs. The design is really well thought out: zippered pockets so things don't fall out, low profile buckle that doesnt pinch when climbing or sitting, and a nice waistband. They remind me of Baggies, but with a better fit and more utilitarian features. Super comfy and awesome colors. Super impressed so far.
