Why We Built The Backcountry GORE-TEX Snow Mitten
Wet snow? Fresh powder? Icy groomers? No matter where we're lucky enough to ride, we made the Backcountry GORE-TEX Snow Mitten to handle the conditions. We trust GORE-TEX to keep our hands dry, whether we're shredding through slush or breaking a sweat on the skin track. Outside, water-repelling goatskin and stretch nylon add weather protection, and inside, synthetic insulation and fleece keep our digits toasty in frigid temperatures.

They look amazing & quality seems good... but the liner is super uncomfortable. I'm confused/bummed because initial looks were great. Just cant deal with extra liner bunching up inside the mitten.

Nice, but they're huge

Purchased a pair of these, they seem really well made, but they're really large. I think every other pair of gloves/mittens I've owned in the last 20 years have been mediums. Got these in a medium, and they're just way too bulky and oversized, so I returned them.

Keeps em’ warm and dry

These gloves are awesome. They keep my hands warm In -15 degrees and not a drip on water gets into them. Most of the gloves I have owned tend to get wet and cold over time but these keep their warmth throughout the year.

I was a glove guy…

I got pretty severe frostbite on a finger this winter at work. As soon as I expose it to cold it goes numb. I have been a glove guy most of my snowboarding/skiing life and now I can’t wear any glove because of the frost bite. I tried a couple mitts and eventually found these. I was impressed when I got em’. I wear a really thin pair of glove liners under them because it feels good, warm and will help regulate moisture. The mitt is soft, supple and the Velcro perfect. It fits well, they look svelte and the price is right. I bought a second pair so I can wear a pair ski touring on the ascents and a nice dry pair for the ride down or emergencies. As far as durability goes… I expect they’ll last a few seasons if you’re thoughtful with your gear. If you don’t give a crap about your gear, work in mitts, and ski or board everyday… you could burn through a pair in a season. I love these and now I’m a mitt guy. I chose an XL because I have long fingers and I like to wear the thin liner. No complaints here… just warm, dry paws.

These gloves work great. Super warm and keep my hands dry. They are fantastic for colder days on the hill.

These are great

These are my favorite mittens and I’ve owned a ton. They are warm but don’t have too much insulation. They feel broken in when you first put them on. They have great straps to help make sure you don’t lose them on the lift. These are a great deal.
