Great 50/50 Boot!
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
If you have a narrow or low volume foot and are looking for a boot that can handle anything you throw at it. This is the boot for you! At 130 Flex it can handle any inbound terrain you throw at it while still being very light for the skin track up.

Wishing they would last longer
My Hawx Ultra 130s are coming to the end of a second season and are toast. Just more than a 100 days and they may have a flex of 70. I had to replace the booster strap in the first year and the liner for the second year because it was so packed out. Mind you I will purchase another pair. I love the fit, the ease of use, the lack of weight.

Pretty solid do-everything boot
- Familiarity:

I got these to try and do everything from touring to park. They do a decent job. Very comfortable for my skinny foot. Lots of room in the forefoot for touring, but a pretty good heel lock. I do wish they were stiffer though. They feel pretty soft for a 130 boot. It?s ok, but you can really feel the lightweight shell flexing all around when skiing. I wish they made this exact boot but didn?t try to make it so lightweight. Use a heavier thicker shell and it would be a lot better. They really don?t need to be so light. There?s plenty of lightweight touring options, I want a beefy real skiing walk mode boot! This is close though.

Good working boot
I work ski patroller and this boot does pretty well. This is the first season in the boot and the sole and plastic is holding up well. I find that I rarely need to really buckle the bottom two buckles and needed to tighten the top two from stock. The power strap is a little on the big end for me and I can just barely get it tight enough. The flex feels like a solid 130 and after the boot was broken in, it became mostly comfortable. I wear a size 12 shoe and ski a 27.5 and narrow last. I do have some discomfort in the heel where the Achilles tendon joins to the bone. The first day in the boots I developed blisters there and that has been a pain spot even as the boot got broken in. The pain is right along the walk mode mechanism and has been an issue that coworkers have mentioned before as well. I would recommend this boot, but it isn't for everyone

Great so far
Really comfortable boot right out the box for me. Switched it up this season for a everyday boot that also had a better walk mode than the Atomic Hawx Prime I had for last season. Needed a narrower boot but also afraid of hot spots. So far it has been great. The Walk mode mech is ok, works, but sometimes a pain to grab. New strap on top is nice and buckles work well. I will say it is a tough boot to get in and out of on cold days, however the fit is just perfect.

Best boot so far in the industri.
I have now been riding in this boot for 2 winters. I also upgrade the previous boot i had whith the new heatable liner. It became even better. It becomes better and better using it. And more comfortable and also warmer after a couples of days riding in them. I also have a custom sidas insole. Perfect combo Thank you Atomic for the perfect comprimise boot.

Best all around boot

The XTD is the one do all boot. Once I sanded the footboards thinner the fit is perfect. All day comfort with total performance! I put several hundred days on my first pair. This new improved version is even better!!!

light, agile, comfortable and powerful
I am what you may call a retired skibum, which means I am an old dude that pretty much still ski every day. I have about eight different skiboots, a dozen skis with alpine bindings and a dozen with solid touring bindings. I bought these boots mainly for touring. First I paired them with shift bindings and powerful alpine skis for early season backcountry skiing. The thing is that when a boot weighs at least 300 gram less than your old touring boots, you may rather use a 300 gram heavier ski to do the same job. You get more dampnes form the heavier skis but still the setup feels lighter because you lift the boot more than you lift the ski. Due to maintenance and the covid situation the local ski resort has closed the chairlift that will acces the local backcountry skiing. The upside is that I have gotten used to lightweight boots for any use on the mountain. I can change from an alpine setup to a touting setup within minutes without changing boots. Today I compared the hawx xtd 130 and my old downhill specific boots and paired with my most heavy alpine setup. The touring boots had at better fit for me to start with. They handled the heavy setup and bumpy conditions better than the alpine boots even though they are super light. So now I am selling my alpine boots and getting myself an extra pair of xtd´s. These boots are simply awesome. And you can even hike too. Sometimes you forget that they are made for walking. They are that good. I do not now how well the walk mode works for persons with longer legs. Some claim that they need to have a removable tongue to walk comfortably. I have used the boots for half a year and I have not had any issues with the walk mode. These are the best boots I have ever had. I hope Atomic will never, ever change a thing.

Great to ski in, until I need to take them off
I've only been able to get out in these twice so far, and I really enjoy skiing in them. I had them heat molded in the shop and the fit is great. That said, when I take them off, the tongue of the boot comes out of the shell and the top of my foot gets pinched by the hard plastic shell. I didn't notice this in the store when I bought them unfortunately. It's downright painful and not a great way to finish a day. Atomic - do you have any advice?
