Why We Like The Mille GT Bib Short
Based on the T.milleshorts_s7 that has so long been a favorite of ours, the Mille GT Bib brings us a redesigned insert and graphics in the same quality fit we love from Assos. Like its predecessor, the Mille GT is the workhorse short from Assos, built for riding, training, and racing, too.
Those already converted to Assos shorts’ comfort will notice a new colorway to their proven chamois construction. The change in color, from the amethyst purple to this basalt black, is an easy way to identify the latest insert. The Mille S7 EVO features the same 8mm thick memory foam with a 3D waffle upper, which increases airflow. The all-new kraterCooler system furthers ventilation through the short, with small perforations in the front of the insert to draw air through the foam. Like the previous S7 insert, the Mille S7 EVO also has Assos’ patented goldenGate construction, which interrupts the stitching along both of the chamois' side panels, allowing greater freedom of movement in this sensitive, rotational area. To reduce friction even further, Assos extends the chamois' thinly-padded sides over this short-to-chamois junction, making the transition against your skin as smooth as possible.

Wish They Were Better
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
Sharp material and scratchy where the shoulder straps connect on the back. The shoulder straps themselves are extremely tight, almost like they are not long enough (6'1" 180lbs - bought size L). The straps are very thin and seriously chafe my nipples. After an hour long ride I'm in serious pain, might have to Band-Aid before using. Chamois feels very low quality and not stitched all the way around, small movements on the saddle can lead to bunching. Very disappointed and would not recommend. Much prefer my Pearl Izumi, Gore, and Louis Garneau.
