Perhaps more importantly, it's lined with a Gore-Tex Extended Comfort waterproof and breathable membrane, so you can cross streams, hike in the rain, and stomp through mud without your feet turning into soggy messes. Extended Comfort also prevents sweat from building up around your feet, which means your toes won't get soggy on the dry and sunny days, either.

Supporting your feet and ankles is perhaps a hiking boot's most important job, and Asolo pulled out all the stops to provide killer comfort, cushioning, and stability. The Lite 2 anatomic footbed supports your arch and the ball of your foot, while the EVA midsole provides full-foot cushioning so 20-mile days won't spell disaster. Grip is provided by the Asolo/Vibram Radiant rubber sole, which has self-cleaning lugs and a heel brake pattern to serve up killer traction in wet, dry, and loose conditions, and your toes are protected by a rubber cap that forms a solid barrier between your sensitive piggies and the hard rocks on the trail.
